Let's face it, the Summer in the UK had it's routine story as it does every year. We've had our moments of sunshine bursting through the normally overcast clouds, giving us a chance to crack open that bubbly bottle of Strawberry & Lime Kopparberg in the town centre beer garden, but it now seems as we get closer to that special time of the year, that Kopparberg is slowly being replaced by a hot chocolate with bubbly marshmallows rather than bubbles.
But it's no problem. Autumn's soon coming around the corner and it's now time to pack away them sunglasses and swimwear gear and bring out the wooly jumpers and scarves - in this case, we're going to focus more on the scarves.
Accessories Online has you covered for the eventual arriving cold season. If you didn't know already, although we love making you feel glamorous with as much shiny jewellery you can possibly wear, we also specialise in the scarves too. For all them times when that jewellery needs to be covered with your bobble hat for the ears or mittens for your hands, you can still show off your scarf around your neck and look fabulous doing it.
Our main range comes from famous designer Lola Rose. Lola Rose started back in 2000, when founder and designer Nicola Gerwirtz began a personal quest to create a range of jewellery and accessories that were affordable, luxurious and would make the wearer feel glamorous. It’s very rare that two products are alike, so every time you treat yourself to a new item you can be assured that you’re getting something special.
The product range for Lola Rose includes scarves, earrings, bracelets, rings and necklaces. You can be reassured that each of them are made with the finest materials and are all easily wearable through adjustable and suitable closures crafted with each item, so there’s not struggle with making sure the gift matches perfectly.
Before the weather takes that unexpected wrong turn, take a look at the Accessories Online scarf range
Want to look stylish, catering the way you wear your scarf for every occasion? Lola Rose have a helpful guide to numerous ways you can wear your scarf for full effect:
We can imagine not everyone likes the cold breeze just to pop to the shop, but at least with your scarf around your neck you'll feel like you're snuggled up with cuppa in hand and a cosy blanket at all times.
Here at Accessories Online we take pride in our customer service and adopt a 'trust' approach with our buyers. We like to make sure that we have an efficient process so that as soon as you click the buy button there's no hassle in receiving your gift and it's produced with the quality you paid for.
We feel there are services that make us different from the rest. For starters, we offer free UK delivery with all our products so there's no need to worry about added cost of post & packaging. If anything it gives you a little extra to maybe treat yourself or someone else special when browsing through the website. If however, for whatever reason you also need to return your purchases to us it's also free for the UK (but we don't feel you need it), we rarely have any returns.
There's also several ways to pay with us and they're all secure methods. There's the option to use Sage Pay or Pay Pal which are both swift ways to purchase goods but alternatively we accept most card payments including Visa, Visa Debit and even American Express if you are paying internationally. As promised the new Lola Rose 2015 Collection is here and it doesn’t disappoint. I am very excited about this collection. The collection has some really strong and beautiful new stone colours. Check out the rainbow fluorite, it shows up different colours of the rainbow depending on how the light hits it. A total stunner! I have ordered quite a few of these for you. Hope you like it as much as I do.
Also check out the Ryanna necklace below. The Ryanna necklace has a pretty polished oval pendant of semi precious Fluorite on a length of polished tumble beads in Rainbow Fluorite A versatile necklace that would match up with any Lola Rose bracelet in Rainbow Fluorite!
The new collection is bold and bright - perfect for hot summer weather. Some other new stone colours worth getting excited about are crazy jasper, pink turquoise, sea green jasmine marble and pink persian agate. The photo below gives you a snapshot of the new stones available this spring. Absolutely stunning, don’t you think!?
One of my favourite of the Lola Rose SS15 Collection has to be the Ester necklace as photographed below which is shown in pink turquoise. I love the length and the shape of the smooth nugget pendant. I've ordered a mix of different colours to suit different tastes and lots of exciting new bracelet styles including the Poppie bracelet which is in the centre of the photo above. This bracelet has a pretty combination of smooth round beads and tumbled beads, finished with a love knot closure.
What do you think about the new Lola Rose collection so far? - let me know below.
We are pleased to announce a new line of jewellery from a new and upcoming designer. These stunning items are made with silver plated snake chains, equipped with extender links. The beads used are also silver plated, unless stated. Many of the beads are made of acrylic and crystal glass materials which give the items vibrancy and contain beautiful silver plated rhinestone beads to add that touch of sparkle and glamour to your outfit. These items are exclusive to Accessories Online only and we are very proud and excited to be working with this new team.

The latest collection of jewellery from our friends at Tatty Devine has landed! The AW14 contemporary collection is a collection of inspired jewellery designs that are perfect for the winter season. We were lucky enough to catch up with Harriet Vine (pictured on the left below, next to Rosie) - one of the co-founders and designers at Tatty Devine to find out what influenced the new collection.
The new Autumn/Winter collection is really strong. What was your starting point for this collection? The mystic arts of fortune telling and divination, psychokinetic powers and Eastern European folk costume were all key starting points for this season. I became fascinated with all things arcane and wanted to recreate a sense of that eeriness in the collection. Often new materials influence the design of the jewellery and ethereal marbled Perspex, smooth birch wood and matt beads embossed with shining gilt stars all played their part to create a darkly luxurious feel.
We’re loving the Lucky Star and Psychic Moon Neon Necklaces – what was the inspiration behind these pieces? I really loved the idea of classic psychic signs shining through windows in darkened alley ways. Fluoro Perspex is layered on glossy black Perspex and really captures the feel of a glowing neon sign. It's a playful take on the fortune teller story from the Autumn Winter collection.
The new peacock butterfly necklace is so beautiful, we love the natural look you’ve achieved through using wood. How does working with wood vary compared to using perspex? Working with wood creates an entirely different effect than working with Perspex. It feels a little more delicate than bold and bright Perspex and it has a beautiful texture. We created the Butterfly Necklace by digitally printing the vibrant patterning of a Peacock Butterfly on laser cut walnut wood, and hand joining it with golden chains so it really flutters!
When creating a collection do you start with drawings or by making prototype pieces? How many different variations of each design do you create before deciding on a final piece? Every piece starts with a conversation between Rosie and I. Then I draw the ideas do as we talk. The piece then progresses through further drawing both on paper and on computer until a first draught gets laser cut. Depending on the complexity it could work first time our take anything up to 10 times to get right
What’s your favourite piece from the new collection? I love the dotty dog!
Have you started Christmas shopping yet? No way!! I have thought about the things I would make for people if I had the time - it is the thought that counts ; )

Tortoiseshell Jewellery: AW14 Trend
As we head into autumn we're seeing a big trend in tortoiseshell jewellery for AW14. The striking mottled pattern is appearing on bangles, bracelets and necklaces, teamed up with high shine silver or gold accents. The trend has been picked up by jewellery brands Ti Sento, Karen Millen, Tatty Devine and Fossil. The natural look of tortoiseshell makes it a classic style that we think will carry on through the next few seasons. It reminds us of a toned down version of leopard print and it's incredibly easy to match with most wardrobe staples. We love the warm amber glow, the translucence and the high shine finish.
What is tortoiseshell jewellery?
Fortunately, the name is deceptive. All tortoiseshell jewellery is now made from resin or other synthetic materials. The sale of real tortoiseshell was banned in the 1970s. Tortoiseshell has been used since ancient times and particularly by the Victorians who made hair combs from tortoiseshell. It wasn't always made from tortoises, it often came from turtles, most commonly the hawksbill turtle. As a tortoise owner myself, I'm very happy this no longer happens.
How to wear tortoiseshell jewellery
Tortoiseshell jewellery is wonderfully versatile. Wear it with a classic jeans and white t-shirt combo for a casual everyday look, or go for all-out evening glamour by combining it with some sparkle. We love the stacked bangle look below. We teamed up a tortoiseshell piece with a rose gold watch and layered Fossil bracelets. Of course, we mixed the metals too:
For the evening, we'd wear a tortoiseshell cuff, layer it up with a few sparkling bangles such as our Fossil Glitz bangles and a simple pair of stud earrings. Wear a necklace if you want, but keep it simple. You can wear it with almost any colour thanks to its natural look - it will look stunning with your LBD and will even match with animal prints. It transcends all styles and ages. Wear it simply for a chic look, layer it with mixed metals and textures for an on-trend look or add some vintage accessories for a classic look. The glossy finish and amber and black tones work with all skin tones.
Do you have any tortoiseshell jewellery in your collection? How would you wear the tortoiseshell trend?
Our latest arrival for AW14 is the new season of Ted Baker jewellery. The new collection is one of the strongest to date, we're totally in love with it and keep walking past the Ted Baker jewellery cabinet in our shop just so we can stare at it. The new collection has sparkling Swarovski crystal earrings, super sleek cuffs and fashion forward necklaces. It sparkles and dazzles and is shot through with colour in bright blues, hot pinks and warm topaz.
In addition to the new pieces, we've also restocked some classic styles such as the best selling Tempany Button Stud Earrings and the sweet Pepe bow earrings with pave crystals. The Tempany earrings are a favourite every season. At just £25 and presented with super sleek Ted Baker Jewellery packaging they make a brilliant gift (Christmas will be here before you know it).
One of my favourite pieces is the Pippa spike necklace. It's incredibly on trend for AW14 and has signature Ted Baker detail with tiny Swarovski crystal jewels on the top of each spike. The long length is just right and it hangs perfectly.
Another of my must-have items is the beautiful Sapelle cuff. This pretty, ultra fine cuff is delicate and feminine, finished with a single Swarovski crystal. It's a little bit different to other cuffs because of its fine design. There are matching earrings available too.
My final pick are the Swarovski crystal encrusted Lynda earrings. This is a style that we sell season in/season out. I love the shape of them and the colour combinations. They have a very tactile finish and just the right amount of sparkle. They come in new colours for AW14, including my favourites in a mix of pinks below. They're just £29.
What do you think of the new Ted Baker jewellery collection? I'd love to hear your comments below!
Ah, how we've missed Disney Couture Jewellery here at AccessoriesOnline.co.uk. Well I'm pleased to announce that after a much missed absence, it's back! The collection is just as whimsical and unique as before and comes complete with a big dose of Disney magic.
Disney Couture jewellery is officially licensed by Disney and inspired by classic animations such as Cinderella, The Lion King, Frozen (new collection coming soon - eek), Winnie the Pooh and Alice in Wonderland. The jewellery is amazing quality and plated in 14kt gold, platinum or silver. All jewellery is given a heavy 3 micron plating, meaning that it will last a long, long time. The crystals used are Swarovski Elements crystals - the finest and most sparkly type of Swarovski crystals available. In typical Disney style, the jewellery is finished with quirky little details such as inspirational Disney quotes, hidden charms and clever designs. It's also hypoallergenic, nickel free and comes with a 12 month warranty.
If you have a Disney fan in your family then Disney Couture is the perfect gift. People give it as heirloom gifts for landmark birthdays, to be treasured for years to come. You can wear it if you're young or old - our customers range in age from 8 to 80! It's designed to be classic and timeless so that you'll still be wearing it in 10 years time - it won't go out of fashion.
Just look at the 'Drink Me' necklace from the Alice in Wonderland collection, below. It's platinum and 14kt gold plated, finished with Swarovski Elements crystals and a black onyx bottle stopper which unscrews. Engraved around the top of the bottle is the inspirational Disney quote 'Believe in the impossible' and there's an Alice charm at the necklace closure too. Yes, as I said, plenty of detail.
Another of my favourites are these little Mickey Mouse stud earrings. They're silver plated and have Swarovski Elements crystals that make up Mickey's hear and ears. The detail with these earrings is that the crystals are in an open setting - the crystals are not 'closed' at the back which allows the light to pass through the crystal. What does that mean? Why, more sparkle of course! What makes them even more desirable is that they're only £21.95.
You can buy our collection of Disney Couture jewellery online, or if you're Liverpool based, why not pop into our shop and take a look? I'd love to know what you think - leave me a comment below!
We're 10 this week! I can't quite believe it. This time back in 2004 I'd just launched my home made website and was venturing out onto the internet to start my little business. It seems like yesterday. You can read my blog post about how it all started here.
To celebrate our big anniversary, we're running a competition for you to win a £100 shopping spree on our website. Just imagine all the pretty things you could treat yourself to. How about a watch from Fossil, a sparkling necklace from Ti Sento or something magical from Disney Couture?
Just enter below, there are a few ways to enter and the more you do, the more chances you have to win. Good luck!
Jordan and I have been chatting since 2009 when we'd both just joined Twitter. We've become good friends since then (one of the things I love about Twitter is that I can really get to know my customers - something that was quite hard to to beforehand). It's been a pleasure to follow Jordan's story over the last 5 years. Things reached new levels of excitement when her fiancé Stuart proposed to her in Lindos on the sunny Greek island of Rhodes. Soon after, Jordan started planning her wedding and treating us to little snippets on Twitter of how she was getting on. She definitely qualifies as one of the most organised brides ever.
I felt honoured when Jordan asked me advice on choosing her bridal jewellery. After a few emails and a *super exclusive* preview of the dress (beautiful), we decided on some pearl jewellery by Ti Sento. Ti Sento is perfect for bridal jewellery as it's wonderful quality and the styles are perfectly suited to brides with luxurious combinations of pearls, sterling silver and cubic zirconia crystals. Jordan chose two pearl bracelets, one with large pearls and a crystal t-bar closure, the other with smaller pearls with a single cubic zirconia crystal. They looked perfect layered together. For earrings, she chose a pair of cubic zirconia and pearl earrings - simple and elegant.
What made you choose the pieces you did? My jewellery was actually one of the last things I chose - I wanted to make sure it complemented everything else that I was wearing. I knew I wanted something 'classic', and the Ti Sento pieces did this, but with a really lovely modern twist - exactly what I wanted.
What was your first thought when you opened the jewellery box? Well, the pink outer packaging made me smile straight off, then to open the lovely thick white box and luxurious looking silk bag one of the bracelets came in was just wonderful. Made me feel like I'd definitely made the right purchase.
How organised were you for your wedding day? Cool, calm and collected or last minute panic? I was *super* organised for our wedding and it really did add to my enjoyment of the process. I loved every second of shopping for and preparing and making things. Because I was organised I was able to have time to do things at the pace I wanted and the way I wanted!
What was your most memorable moment from your wedding day? It has to be just before I walked down the aisle - the doors were glass and I was stood there in a gorgeous dress, everyone just waiting. It took my breath away a little bit. The rest just went in a complete whirlwind!
Did you cry? I'm a big 'crier' and expected to pretty much cry my way through the whole ceremony. Thankfully, I didn't and cried just the once when I had to say my name! After that I was okay. The only other time I cried was when it was the last dance of the night - I just felt so elated about the amazing day we'd had, but so sad too that it was all over.
Thank you Jordan for allowing us to play a tiny part in your big day!
Rose gold jewellery has been a big over the last few seasons. We're very happy about this as we're big fans of all things rose gold here at Accessories Online. We love the warmth - adding a simple rose gold necklace to your outfit can brighten up a dull, dreary winter's day but goes with a beautifully bronze tan equally as well. Our collection of rose gold jewellery has been growing so much that we've now set up a special section on our website dedicated to it.
I've put together a quick list of my current favourite rose gold jewellery in this post, starting firstly with the bangle that our customers love the most:
This is the bangle of the moment - almost every customer that visits our shop comments on our purchases this beautiful bangle by American brand Fossil. Now it's not strictly rose gold, it's stainless steel in a rose gold colour. Stainless steel is a wonderful material for jewellery as it won't tarnish and is long lasting. It's also hypo-allergenic meaning people with metal allergies can normally wear it without problem. The quality of this bangle and the great price means that it's a great gift, which is what most of our customers buy it for.
My second pick is this large gold dipped wishbone necklace by Dogeared:
Dogeared jewellery and wishbones go hand in hand. It's one of their most iconic charms that's been with them from the start. The Dogeared wishbone is available in three different sizes - my favourite is this one. I like the large sized wishbone as it comes on a long chain - I've always preferred longer length necklaces. Not only does this necklace tick the rose gold and wishbone trend boxes, but it's also mixed metal, combining gold and rose gold. It's the holy trinity of jewellery trends.
Just look at this this beauty above. It's the Sahara star bracelet by Daisy London in rose gold. Not only is this bracelet fabulous quality, but it comes with luxurious Daisy Jewellery packaging which makes it even more special. It's a gift to be treasured by any rose gold lover. I love the detail in this bracelet, each little star is slightly curved which gives it a beautifully finished look. The stars are set at alternating angles, so it makes it look like they're dancing around your wrist. Just lovely.
The necklace above is a new addition to our Dogeared jewellery range. They have reworked some of their all time best selling necklace styles and given them a rose gold makeover. The infinite love necklace has a little infinity symbol and comes on a delicate 16 inch necklace. SO pretty. It's also gift boxed so it's just perfect for giving.
And we're back to Fossil jewellery for the final rose gold hit. These earrings fit into the 'photo doesn't do them justice' category. In real life, they're just so sparkly and dainty that it makes me happy every time I glance at them in the shop. The crystals are very tiny and set into the earrings so that they give a very delicate sparkle and an air of elegance. There's a matching necklace available too.
What is Rose Gold?
Rose gold is a combination of rose and copper - copper is added to the gold which gives the metal its characteristic pink tone. The more copper that's added, the pinker the colour. Also known as pink or red gold, rose gold is often associated with vintage jewellery but over the last few years it has become a huge trend. Long may it continue.
Do you own any rose gold jewellery? What pieces would you choose from above?
We want you to join us in our love of all things Fossil, so we're giving you the chance to own your very own item of Fossil jewellery so you can see what we keep wittering on about. So, in this competition we're giving away our best-selling item of jewellery by the iconic American brand: the vintage glitz dainty dot bangle in rose gold (worth £45). This beautiful bangle catches the eye of everybody who comes into the shop and sells out all the time. It's a classic jewellery piece that you can wear day or evening and it suits absolutely anybody, young our old. In other words, everybody loves it, it's totally versatile and if you don't have one yet then you really should enter this competition and fill in that Fossil jewellery shaped gap in your jewellery box.
The bangle is stainless steel meaning that it's great for people with metal allergies. It also means that it's hard wearing and made to last. The crystals add just the right amount of sparkle so that the bangle stands out, but isn't in-your-face bling. It also comes in a Fossil tin which looks fab and is super collectable.
Just enter below, there are a few ways to enter and the more you do, the more chances you have to win. Good luck!
Our Lola Rose AW14 collection is here and what a response we've had! Some styles have already sold out, so well done if you managed to snap them up. If there's something you'd like that has since sold out then do let us know.
The most popular styles have been the ever popular Fern bracelet, the tactile Darcel ring and the elegant Elena necklace. Best selling stones are blue fossil jasper, blue sandstone and the beautiful cape amethyst.
Lola Rose jewellery is the perfect AW14 accessory as gemstones are an important jewellery trend this season. The catwalks saw gemstones adorning coats, hats, collars and dresses, adding opulent splashes of colour. The larger the stone the better, so the semi precious statement necklaces forming the centrepiece of our collection are the ultimate autumn accessory. Go for the bold Mirelle necklace and wear in combination with the Cecily statement bangle for a truly decadent look.
Geometric lines and circles are key shapes for the autumn/winter 2014 season with futuristic shapes and clean angles featuring heavily on the catwalks. As always, Lola Rose are right on the trend with pieces such as the Mirielle and Elena necklaces that have smooth, tactile finishes and clean contemporary lines.
Fluidity and movement bring the new collection to life. Strands of beads fall gracefully across clothing and glossy, tumbled beads clatter together on beautifully layered bracelets. The glossy and faceted stones glimmer and glint in the light as the jewelled semi precious stones move in tandem with your body.
What pieces have you bought from the Lola Rose AW14 collection?
Just a quick post about the latest Fossil watches that will be heading our way soon for the AW14 season. I was treated to a preview of the new styles at the shop yesterday. I got very excited about this. As you no doubt know from my countless blog and Instagram posts, I'm a complete Fossil watch convert. I took a few snaps of the new styles and I've been allowed to share them with you here. I'd love to know what you think - comments below please!
This is the 'Perfect Boyfriend' watch - it will be available in silver and rose gold, with or without crystals (below). It has a bracelet strap with removable links and a slim case with a large watch face.
Below is the new Virginia watch which also comes in silver and rose gold. This watch has a smaller, more feminine style watch face and again, a bracelet style strap. Crystals decorate the watch face and strap giving it a glitzy look. I'd love to know what you think - comments below please!
Good news for our Lola Rose customers - the autumn/winter 2014 collection will be arriving in the next couple of weeks. The lovely people at Lola Rose have been kind enough to deliver it a little earlier than anticipated, as we've nearly sold of the SS14 collection. Here's a small preview of what's coming and the new semi precious stone colours we'll be showcasing for the Lola Rose AW14 season.
New Lola Rose Autumn/Winter 2014 Jewellery Styles
We'll be welcoming back some favourite jewellery pieces including the best-selling Fern bracelet, the elegant Elena necklace and the tactile Darcel stretch ring. Other new styles arriving include the Mirielle necklace and the chunky, easy to wear Abbie necklace with a chinese knot closure. Later in the season we'll be getting a second delivery that includes a very popular bracelet, made exclusively for us in the AW14 season colours. Any guesses as to which bracelet it will be? Comment below and I'll let you know if you're right.
As you'd always expect from Lola Rose, the jewellery is all made from the highest quality semi precious stones, hand selected by Nikki and her team. Lola Rose is known for its quality. Every piece is crafted by hand and as the jewellery is made from unique stones, no two pieces are alike. Every time you treat yourself to a new piece of Lola Rose jewellery, you know you're getting something unique and one-off. It's no wonder that lots of our customers have started collecting Lola Rose jewellery - it's quite addictive. Once you have one piece, you want more!
The new season of Lola Rose jewellery will be presented in the new style hot pink jewellery pouches, ideal for protecting and safely storing the jewellery. They're also really useful if you're travelling.
Lola Rose AW14 Semi Precious Stone Colours
New semi precious stones for the AW14 season are striking and feminine. We have the return of classic best selling black obsidian and blue sandstone - always popular for adding some glamour and sparkle during winter months. We also welcome back of one of our favourites - eye stone. Nikki and her team have managed to find a new source of this beautiful, natural stone so it returns after a long and much-missed absence. Blue is a key colour for AW14, so the collection is infused with vibrant blue fossil jasper and the intriguingly patterned conglo jasper. Another new colour is cape amethyst stone, which appears on necklaces, rings and bracelets throughout the collection. It's a beautiful, natural amethyst stone with detailed markings and rich colouring. Some amethyst stones have a washed out appearance, but the cape amethyst has a wonderful vibrancy to it which we know you'll love. Other colours included in the Lola Rose AW14 collection are purple waterlily serpentine and pink aragonite...with more arriving later in the season.
What are your favourite pieces from our preview above? I'd love to know - comments below! Keep checking our Lola Rose jewellery section on the website for the arrival of the new collection. I can't wait.
If you follow us on any of our social media accounts you'll know it's no secret that we're completely addicted to Fossil watches here at Accessories Online HQ. Since we started stocking them last year our wrists have been yearning to sport all the styles from the coveted rose gold and charcoal grey Georgia watch to the beautiful Stella watch in rose gold. Honestly, that Stella watch almost makes my knees give way.
What's so special about Fossil watches? For me it's the design and the quality. They're always classically designed, but with little accents that make them stand out. Fossil is an American brand with its roots in vintage American design and culture - this is where they get their design inspiration. The company was started back in 1984 by a guy called Tom Kartsotis; they originally started by importing their own collection of watches from the Far East to sell to their American customers. Vintage design is what makes Fossil tick (yes, bad pun) - think Americana, gas stations, diners, drive-ins and you're there. Quality wise, their watches are made to last decade after decade. Crafted from high grade stainless steel, each watch comes with a 2 year warranty and is water resistant. I've been told the story about the 'Fossil watch I had for years and years' countless times by customers coming in our shop. That says it all for me.
The Georgia watch is a classic example of Fossil watch design. Reworked each season in new colour ways, it's a Fossil watch through and through. It combines heritage details such as the iconic lug hardware attaching the watch face to the strap and new trend influences such as the addition of crystals, a new season colour or a new material. It's quite a ladylike watch and delicate in appearance. We've found the leather buckle strap to be really comfortable to wear - it's not too wide and is easy to fasten.
The Stella watch is another iconic Fossil design. Its oversized watch face gives it an on trend boyfriend style look. The bracelet strap with removable links has a clasp closure that's secure and easy to open and close. It's really good quality too - heavy but not wrist-draggingly so. Just the right weight. The Stella watch has added detail with multifunction dials for the date, date and 24 hour clock. As I said before, I am totally in love with the rose gold version which comes with a brushed metal face or edged with crystals (my favourite). It also comes in a silver version and a tortoiseshell/gold combo which is our second best selling style after rose gold. There's also a mini Stella watch - as you've probably guessed it has a smaller watch face and a slimmer strap which is perfect if you find a large watch a bit too much.
The Curator watch is special too. The decorative strap makes it almost jewellery-like in appearance. I like the unusual shaped watch face which gives it a vintage look. The strap on the Curator watch features Fossil's Adjust-O-Matic system which allows you to self-adjust the bracelet length by simply unclipping the links - no tools required.
Finally, we can't forget the famous tins! Every watch comes in an iconic Fossil tin. The tin designs change each season and are quite collectable. I am loving the travel themed tins we have at the moment. Sometimes presentation is just as important as the product, so the Fossil tins finish things off nicely.
Do you have any Fossil watch stories for me? Let me know below, I'd love to hear. What watches do you own and what ones are you coveting?

I can't believe that we're celebrating our 10 year anniversary this year. Not many people know the story of how I started my little jewellery business, so now's probably the time to share.
Back in 2004 I was a Make-up Artist, working freelance and also teaching at a local college. The teaching job was swallowing up my life and making me unhappy. Working as a freelance Make-up Artist was fun and something I was passionate about, but work was unpredictable. A career change was on the cards. I'd always had a huge passion for jewellery and accessories (perhaps verging on a problem, judging by my credit card statements), so it seemed obvious that I did something that embraced my big love for anything sparkly. I took advantage of the courses available to me while teaching at college to train myself up in basic website coding and design. Using this new found knowledge I started my fledgling jewellery business on eBay, investing £50 in some simple silver jewellery. I still keep one of the original necklaces I started with as a reminder of how it all began. It's in a drawer at my office desk and occasionally I'll take a look at it and get all sentimental.
A few months later and my business was taking off, so I took the daunting decision of handing my notice in at the college. I remember my hand shaking as I posted the letter, wondering if I was doing the right thing. As soon as the letter was posted things got serious. I had to earn a living from this. I built my own basic website from scratch (the world of eCommerce was a lot more simple back in 2004) and started selling solely through the website. My first three brands were Dogeared, Butler & Wilson and Les Nereides. I worked from home; my front room was packed to the rafters with jewellery and packaging. I was shipping orders worldwide and found it really thrilling when an order dropped in from a country I'd not yet shipped to. It amazed me that people from all over the world were finding my little website and placing orders (and it still does). I keep meaning to get a map for the wall to mark all the countries we've shipped to over the years - I think we've covered most of the globe! We've sent our jewellery to Royal Palaces, remote tropical islands and high profile celebrities. Over the years, our eye for great style has been picked up on by the odd fashion editor or two, with our jewellery featuring in fashion magazines including Vogue, Grazia, Harpers Bazaar and even on TV.
In 2008 it reached the point where my office could only be entered by running at the door shoulder-first. My business had outgrown the house, so I started the hunt for shop and office premises. I wanted to avoid the high street and find somewhere that was as unique as the jewellery I was selling. My hunt led me to find our current home, The Well Barn in Little Crosby Village, Liverpool. It's a beautiful place to work - a cluster of 18th century converted farm buildings around an old stable yard. Little Crosby, between Southport and Liverpool, is a picturesque village with chocolate box cottages, surrounded by fields. Our initial shop and office was located in an old converted hay loft. Cramped was not the word. I soldiered on, contorted at my desk, surrounded by jewellery cabinets, packaging and piles of jewellery. In 2013 we moved into our current shop and office where we now happily have lots of space and a beautiful jewellery shop (take a virtual tour inside below).
Years on, we're still a small business (a team of just two, or three if you include our office dog Holly the Dachshund). I've let the business grow slowly and have remained adamant that we keep the same passion for jewellery and the same business values that I started with. The world of eCommerce is a totally different beast nowadays, but the core of my business is still the same. My customers are so important to me. There are people I speak to that have been customers from the start. I know the names of all our good customers and it's always a pleasure to get an email from a happy customer or have a nice natter over the phone. That's what gives me the most pleasure from what I do (aside from getting to look at beautiful jewellery every day). We also have a really strong and loyal customer following on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram where we love to keep in touch with everyone.
So, 10 years on, I'd like to say huge and heartfelt thanks to everybody who has helped my business along the way. It's been an absolute pleasure.
Our Fossil jewellery has been SO popular with our customers and our collection just keeps growing! Did you know that we have a jewellery shop in Liverpool? We're based in Little Crosby Village, a pretty rural village near to Crosby (in between Southport and Liverpool). We're based in a converted barn which means that our shop looks pretty awesome. We have bare stone walls and big wooden beams that are the perfect backdrop to our sparkling jewellery displays.
Little Crosby Village is a pretty village with old cottages and farm buildings, surrounded by fields. It's only about 10 minutes away from Crosby Beach where you'll find Antony Gormley's 'Another Place' installation. We're pretty luck to work where we do!
A while ago Google came to take a 360 panoramic tour of our shop which you can see below. Just follow the arrows to walk inside the shop and take a tour inside. Can you spot Holly our office sausage dog?
If you're in the Liverpool area then come and see us!
Our best selling and much loved karma necklace by Dogeared featured in February's Tatler magazine. Worn by the stunning actress Gabriella Wilde, the necklace is from her own personal jewellery collection. We love the way it works with her casual, relaxed clothing style. For the shoot she's wearing the classic karma necklace which we have available in 16 and 18 inch versions.
Dogeared's karma jewellery collection has always been one of our best sellers, not only because of the gorgeous styles, but because of the meaning behind the jewellery. I'm a big believer in karma and it seems that our customers are too. Each item of karma jewellery comes on a card that reads:
What goes around, comes around...wear your necklace as a reminder to keep the circle positive, peaceful and loving.
It's a lovely message isn't it? Do you own any karma jewellery? Do you have a special story behind it? Let me know below and we might blog about you!

We do love a bit of rose gold here at Accessories Online. Our rose gold love overfloweth with these pretty new necklaces from our friends at Dogeared. Handmade in California, we have three classic necklace styles that have been given a rose gold makeover. We have 'infinite love' with an infinity symbol, 'wish' with a tiny wishbone charm and 'guardian angel' with a pair of dainty angel wings.
Each necklace comes on a message card bearing a beautiful, meaningful message. The necklaces are also gift boxed - an added bonus if you're giving one as a gift. The less gift wrapping you have to do the better (my philosophy).
The rose gold jewellery trend has been huge for quite a while now and it shows no sign of slowing down. It's such a warm, summery tone that looks great with a tan. Also known as pink gold or red gold, it's made by mixing copper into the gold which gives the metal a warm, pinky tone.
What I love about these necklaces is that they're very petite and dainty. They look pretty awesome layered up too. What do you think? You can shop them here.
We've completely in love with our latest Dogeared jewellery arrivals - these gorgeous make a wish bracelets on chain. Set on chunky rolo chain bracelets, they have handy extender chains so you can wear them at the perfect length. They're available in silver and gold dipped versions. If you're looking for a meaningful gift then you really can't go wrong with these sweet new Dogeared bracelets.
This is the 'All is Well' bracelet by Dogeared with a hamsa hand charm. It should be worn as a reminder that things are just fine. Hamsa hands are said to offer protection to the wearer. I'd give this a gift to somebody who needed a little reassurance in their life.
I love the infinity bracelet below. Featuring the iconic infinity charm, it's on a substantial chain bracelet (perfect for clumsy oafs like myself). Infinity jewellery is still a huge jewellery trend at the moment so not only is this a meaningful bracelet, but it's the height of fashion too.
What do you think of these new bracelets?

Being experts in all things jewellery, we thought we'd write a handy guide on how to keep your silver jewellery looking perfect for years to come. It's perfectly normal for silver jewellery to tarnish from time to time. The good news is that by following our tips for caring for silver you'll be able to prevent tarnish and easily clean it when it does happen. It's simple!
What causes silver to tarnish?
There are a few things that can cause your silver jewellery to tarnish. Perfumes, body lotions, hair products and even sweaty skin can cause tarnish. Harmful chemicals such as detergents and chlorine can also contribute. Have you had an item of silver jewellery that you've not worn for ages and has tarnished? It will be unprotected exposure to air that's caused it.
How to stop silver tarnishing.
- Store your jewellery properly. Silver tarnishes when in contact with air, so keeping it in airtight bags helps. I store my silver jewellery in ziplock bags in my jewellery box. Keeping your jewellery safely stored away from light and air will help prevent tarnish.
- Make sure that any lotions are fully absorbed into the skin and that perfume has dried before putting your jewellery on.
- Remove your jewellery before gardening, cleaning or any other activities that will make you sweat.
- Never, ever wear your jewellery when swimming. Chlorine causes all kinds of damage to silver.
- After wearing your silver jewellery, wipe it with a cotton cloth to remove any body oils, beauty products or chemicals that could cause it to tarnish. Don't use kitchen paper or tissues as they can cause tiny scratches.
- Clean silver jewellery frequently to keep it in perfect condition.
How to clean silver jewellery
- Make your own home made silver cleaner with baking powder. Take a small bowl, line it with aluminium foil then add hot water, a tablespoon of baking soda and stir. Place the jewellery in the solution for about one minute, rinse clean and let it air dry.
- If you have a build up of dirt in hard to reach places, just put washing-up liquid in a bowl of water and soak over night.
- Use a commercial silver dip. These can be picked up in most supermarkets. Simply dip the silver into the cleaner and it will instantly remove tarnish. Be careful when using commercial silver cleaners with some gemstones and pearls - it can damage them.
- Use a silver polishing cloth. These special cloths are impregnated with a silver cleaner. Just wipe your jewellery with the cloth to remove tarnish. Great for smooth surfaced jewellery, but tricky for tarnish in hard to reach places.

The weather is getting warmer and it is time to think about last year's summer dresses and how to update them with new jewellery by House of Harlow!
Last year we were all feeling tropical, this year it's all about Aztec. Think Sundials, Pyramids, triangles and, of course, the Aztec zone in the 90's TV show, The Crystal Maze.
House of Harlow have updated their classic sunburst motif with a gold-on-gold Aztec twist. Both luxurious and fun, these are perfect for updating your summer frocks and giving them a new lease of life. Aztec shapes have never been so hot!

We're total suckers when it comes to pretty bangles (particularly when they're from Karen Millen's collection), and this Crystal Sprinkle Linked Heart Bangle? is the jewellery equivalent of an 80's heartthrob. It's a little bit retro and a little bit kitsch, but - like Christian Slater in Heathers - totally dreamy at the same time. If this were a person, it would totally wear a leather jacket and ask you to hop on the back of its motorbike.
It's also one of the more unique new jewellery arrivals we've received for Spring/Summer 2014. One bangle is in a shiny silver colour, sprinkled with crystals and the other is in a shiny gold. They are linked together as a symbol of love (making it the perfect gift to give to someone you're looking to get it on with.)
OK, so we know that Valentine's Day was over a month ago. But we think that if you're looking to show someone you care this month, you could do a lot worse.
Have you seen our new Spring/Summer 2014 collections yet? You'll find those - and plenty more prettiness -?on our website!?And don’t forget to follow us on??Facebook?and Twitter at?@accessories_uk?to keep up with the news of all of our competitions, giveaways and super exclusive offers !
