As a jewellery designer, Leandra Holder is well known for her fabulous contemporary rock chick jewels – now she’s added another element to her unique portfolio – Art T-shirts and Funky Bags. With this venture Leandra is returning to her 70’s Glam roots as a clothes designer and stylist. Leandra likes to blur the boundaries between art, fashion and utility – with this limited edition range of T’s and bags she proves that you can comfortably wear Art and at an affordable price. Many of these images were created in clay or glass first, before evolving into T-shirt images.
This Tattooed Babies Art-T design was inspired by Leandra’s interest in tattoo art, especially from the 1950s, as well as old dolls such as Kewpies and Barbies. This shows a tattooed porcelain kewpie-type doll, created in porcelain by Leandra in her studio. The idea of tattooing a child is so appalling that it becomes amusing when the idea is used ironically.
This high quality modern T-shirt is a great shape with a little bit of stretch to make sure it stays that way. Narrow rib at neck and smooth cotton rich fabric that is shaped to fit. Machine washable on a cool cycle. Fabric – 96% cotton 4% elastane. 190gsm single jersey.
