Leandra’s inspiration - "Japan has been an inspiration to me for the last 3 years as it is a culture so very different to my own. Their fascination with the detail on very small items - even if they are made in plastic - matches my own preoccupation with the tiny. Geishas in particular have always interested me - the way they only become a geisha once the mask of make-up and an elaborate wig is donned, and they change into their fabulous geisha costumes. They are like highly trained performance artists. It’s a relatively hidden and mysterious world to Western eyes and all the more enthralling to me because of that. I hope you love this charm bracelet as much as I loved creating it for you."
